You set up a tile on the Beyond Cues page: pick a table, set a filter, choose the calculation. The preview shows right away how it will look in the Role Center. All it takes is a permission set, not a development project.
Pick a table, set a filter, done
Choose a table such as Sales Header and filter on document type Quote and status Open. The tile now counts your open quotes. Code, title and group go on the same card.
Key users maintain the tiles
With the BYD CU ADMIN permission set, key users create, change and assign tiles. Everyone else views and uses them with BYD CU USER. A new KPI needs no developer.
Color, icon and width per tile
Choose color, icon and width for each tile. Beyond Cues adjusts the font color automatically, so the number stays readable on dark and light backgrounds.
From the Role Center straight to work
Click a tile to open a filtered page with the records behind the number. You can also add actions: run a report, open a page or go to a URL.

Every tile is a table, a filter and a calculation type. That covers figures from sales, purchasing, warehouse or HR.
Count, sum, compare
Count, sum, average, yes/no check, filtered lookup, first or last field value, comparison of two fields, or a custom function. A comparison can list every item whose unit cost is higher than its unit price.
Ratios as percentages
Two tiles act as numerator and denominator, a third shows the ratio as a percentage. That puts your quote success rate on the Role Center: released quotes divided by all quotes.
Indicator colors on your conditions
Conditions decide which color a tile's indicator shows. One look at the Role Center tells you which number needs attention.

How do I create custom cues in Business Central?

What do I need to set up in Business Central?
