Barcodes right on the document
On documents such as a sales quote or order confirmation, the barcode appears through a report extension, or without code with Beyond Document Designer. Whoever holds the document scans the number instead of typing it.
Scan instead of typing
Type item numbers by hand and one will be wrong sooner or later. A scan reads them the same way every time, and the barcode scanner on the Role Center takes Business Central straight to the item card.

A cloud API renders the barcodes. There's nothing to install on your server, and the API maintains itself.
Connecting it takes minutes: enter the capacity and manage tokens on the Barcode Setup page, update the capacity, done. From then on, the tokens control who can generate how many barcodes.

Use the manage token to create capacity tokens. Your customers get their own admin panel to manage their API usage.

On the Barcode Setup page you decide which field of which table becomes a code, in which format and size. Labels get a print layout on top.
15 formats from Code39 to QR code
Code128 with variants A, B and C, Code39, EAN13, EAN8, EAN5, EAN2, UPC, UPCE, ITF, ITF14, MSI and QR code. You pick the format per field, Code128 for the item number, for example.
QR codes as electronic business cards
Generate vCard and meCard QR codes for contacts or employees. One scan with a phone and the contact is saved. That's how you send your field staff a customer's contact details, for example.
Size, colour and caption per code
Height, margin, foreground and background colour, error correction and whether the number prints as readable text: all on one page, no hunting through menus. Change the format later, and Update Barcode Values regenerates every existing code.
Print layouts for barcode labels
On the Barcode Print Layouts page you set the label's width and height and place fields such as the item description and the barcode by X and Y position. Font size and alignment are set per line.

Beyond Barcodes renders the code from Business Central through the cloud API and delivers it in reports, labels and workflows – on documents such as a sales quote or order confirmation through a report extension, or without code with Beyond Document Designer. How do I create QR codes in Business Central?
On the Barcode Setup page, choose QR code as the format for a field. Select As Electronic Business Card and it becomes a business card, for a contact, for example.

How do I set up Beyond Barcodes?
